Thanks I have made a slight change to it now.

I think PC BS plays a big part in this and some form of twisted left wing view as well. Put up the St George's flag and your branded a raciest nazi pig, give me a break. We're not all knuckle dragging extreme right wing loons who beat their chests and shout abuse.

The silly thing is that all the other home nations are very comfortable flying their flags, but most people look negatively at anyone flying the england flag unless at a sporting event. Why do we feel this way?
English nationalism has always been subsumed into British nationalism, up until recently they were one and the same for many people. This is beginning to change, but English nationalism has something of a "bad rep" in comparison with it's Irish, Welsh or Scottish equivalents.

Ask any foreigner their opinion (assuming they know the difference) of the different nationalities in the UK and England normally doesn't fare too well, at least in my experience over the years. This is after working or socialising with Poles, Bulgarians, Romanians, Russians, Lithuanians, a Turk, Nigerians, a Ghanaian, Indians, Pakistanis, Chinese, an Iranian, a South African, a Finn, Norwegians and even a few Americans. Most of them were/are students or work in the oil industry.

Unfortunately, it's the "knuckle dragging extreme right wing loons who beat their chests and shout abuse" who get all the attention.

They drown out all the more moderate people in the same way that the "Cyber Nats/Yestapo" do online for Scotland.

Labour are now facing questions as to who they represent...the working class no longer being viewed by many as being the automatic answer.

Ed at the helm is currently doing the other parties a great service in the run up to the next general election.

Any luck the whole rotten political system will tear it self apart in due course. About time too we need a big change in this out of date political system.

Only problem being, if UKIP get enough seats to form the balance of power as Clegg did last time....what mayhem might they demand to become the kingmakers?

At best UKIP will get 15 seats but I'm going for a safer bet that of 8 seats. Nigel Farage said this week or last the chances of coalition with the three main party's was doubtful.

I disagree....I reckon Farage main ambition is to be the kingmaker.

UKIP will not form a coalition with any of the main three and in turn none of them would form a coalition with UKIP. This is the short answer to the question..If the UK has another Hung Parliament after the 2015 general election would UKIP form a coalition with the conservatives or Labour.

I read a friends recent email he sent to UKIP head office and that was there answer.

I suggest to anyone ask the man himself via email, letter or the phone or your local pub if hes there. Or so put the same question to the main three party's as well.

On a different note..

I dread the thought of UKIP holding the balance of power, they could end up being more nasty than the nasty party.

And STEED I will say now that UKIP will win no more than 8 to 10 seats (hopefully less)

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was seen trying to dump a body in the River Thames.

The police are now looking for the other 5,000 missing Tory voters from Kent.

"Democracy Rocks" for Nicola Sturgeon as she appears before 12,000 people at Glasgow's Hydro arena:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-30157986

I did like the joke about the Lib Dem conference being held at Dunfermline:

'The new SNP leader said she was pretty sure her event had beaten the Lib Dems on numbers but she had heard that "the phone box they are holding it in is pretty full".'

Sturgeon also called for 'a "progressive alliance" with parties such as Plaid Cymru in Wales and the Green party in England to change the Westminster system.'

In related news, the Radical Independence Campaign has made a "People's Vow" at it's own gathering:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...itics-30151363

Quote:
The People's Vow
  • The People's Budget - mapping the alternative to austerity
  • Ending fracking before it takes hold
  • Land for all - Put our natural resources in the hands of the people
  • Equality not as an afterthought
  • Democracy before profit - Work with other forces across Europe and the US to stop the Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership
Both groups not only want Trident removed from Scotland, but also full blown nuclear disarmament for the UK. Sturgeon's said already that part of the price of SNP co-operation with Labour at Westminster would be scrapping Trident and Cat Boyd, Co-Founder of RIC want's Trident not only gone from Scotland, but gone completely from the UK:

"......we want to embark on a campaign of civil disobedience against Trident. People don't want Trident in Scottish waters and they don't want it in anybody else's either,"

On the surface at least, the rise of UKIP is pulling England off to the political right, whilst the SNP is pulling Scotland to the left.

At this rate, I don't think the UK will survive....

Mike.

I'm a committed "NONE OF THE ABOVE LYING BASTARDS" and have been for 20 good years. And that is what I write on my ballet paper, I want a revolution but know full well its not going to happen so we're stuffed with this political/criminal system.

Jim only posting what I picked up on I'm not here to defend any party as in my view they all stink to different degrees.

I shall pass on those links to my friend and its down to him if he wants to follow up his email.
