I would like another patch as well. BUT you all act surprised everytime they release a sim half finished, thats what makes me laugh. NO ONE can give me an example when they released a "finished out of the box sim" because they don't and never have hence they never will. Untill people stop running out and buying the 1st POS they send out and hit them in the wallet to make them think, they will keep doing it.

Whoever wants to can flame me for this but its spot on and if you think about it you know I am right. And don't say "If no one buys it right away they will stop making them ...WRONG.... this is what they do make games, and if they find people will not buy them untill they are "finished" (more or less) they will change tactics. That is what retail sellers do, they change to bring the consumer what they want so they can make a proffit over the "other guy".

I am just as guilty as others and have bought EVERY sub sim ever made (I think) but SH4 was put on my shelf one week after I bought it and has not come down since. I say I will not buy another one from them and that is a HUGE statment from me. Will I stick to this ? I hope so because I see no difference in waiting an extra four or six months for a finished product to be shipped, or the sim setting on my shelf for four or six months waiting for patches to make it worth while.

This is my opinion on the matter.

I concur with Neal's post even though I haven't purchased SH4 yet. It is essential that another patch is released to remedy at least some of the bugs listed before I will seriously consider buying SH4.

Default need 1.3

I have not played the game yet due to reading posts here. It is using up space on my hard drive. UBI needs to complete the sim. Thanks for speaking out Neal

Me too. The bugs in SH3 were not significant enough to keep me from playing it (Starforce was though - I uninstalled and reformatted because of it)>

SHIV sounds like it has a lot to work out, and I for one will not purchase it until it's done.

So wait a minute, we have to beg for patch 1.3? I thought it was a sealed deal that we will get 1.3. But now we have to beg? Wow. It's obvious another patch and more is needed, and if UBI thinks otherwise then I have no comment.

Here's another supporting post for Neal's request. I would also second several other comments that patch 1.3 not be published before it's time. Make the effort and take the time to make it as complete as possible with the information available at the time of release. Having been an early SHI guy and then waiting for another release of a Pacific Theater sub simulation, I'm very pleased with the graphics and potential of SHIV, but have spent most of my time to date trying to figure out how it really works and testing mods rather than being on patrol. This forum is much more useful than the manual in learning the game so an electronic version of an updated/correct manual would be extremely useful for those customers who do not have the time to read everything posted on SUBSIM - I have no idea how they could really play the game at all. The modders have done an exceptionally good job to date, so would also support providing them with the sufficient code and hooks to continue those efforts if Ubisoft can do so without compromising their intellectual property too severely.............Skipbo

Count me in!! Though I would hope the devs take a look at Dragonrr1's bug list, which is also posted in this forum. He's been keeping a pretty good track!! Get those issues resolved and then we can talk about expansion disks!!
