Few more hatches done.

Inner chamber in place, delicate weathering.

Light. Slightly diferent than what ive seen on the fotos of U-552.

Light cut out.

The backing plate for the new light. Made out of brass in order to fill sides in the conning tower- light joint.

The water breaker in place, the bottom edge filled. Two litle holes made on the sides, missed on the kit- present on fotos.

Deck with the strip of styrene backup. It is needed to bring the thickness of the deck to the same levell as the water deflector.

The 20mm gun underdeck support glued underside of deck.

Deck in place.

Styrene strip aded to the edge.

Beer can again came handy.

I left fraction of the milimetre protruding from the top to form sort of steel edge which is present of pictures of the real boat.

Another thin strip of the beer can, slightly smaller than the previous one. It will highlight the lip on the edge.

The edge of the 20mm gun platform finished.

All the doors and hatches on the bottom part of the CT have been done. Only the railing and steps remain to be added, but that will be completed in late stages of CT construction.

Radio aerial housing.

Timbers imitation sanded.

Eduard PE in place

Because im not using the floor rib / which in fact is only in the kit to make modelers life easier glueing together the CT halves / i decided to extend the housing right to the floor.

Painted black on inside

Done

Sides of the CT are of the wrong shape. Ajustment need to be made to the elevation, and curvature at the top.
