Point Nemo is the most remote place on Earth, being 2,688 kilometers away from the nearest land. It's in the south Pacific, about halfway between Chile and New Zealand, and the closest land are three uninhabited Islands (Ducie Island in the Pitcairn Islands; Moto Nui in the Easter Islands and Maher Island off the coast of Antarctica).

Point Nemo is quite lifeless, with little (if any) nutrients from coastal waters getting there.

It's being used as a spaceship graveyard - hundreds of decomissioned satellites, spacecraft and even space stations can be found on the seabed, and these wrecks will be joined by the ISS (planned crash in 2031).
