I can confirm that it seems to work fine when you remove the sea folder from the mod. Just double the masthead value and everything seems to work fine.

[edit]Posted a bad 'doubling' trick for doubling GWX mastheight value from recognition book. Original post is greyed-out.
Instead of mentally doubling the mastvalue , you can also line the (GWX recognition book) value up with the 30 degree AOB mark. Then you'll get the OLC value at the 90 mark. Simple workaround. Last edited by Pisces; 12-11-07 at 09:14 AM. |

An assumption:
The Kaleuns in WW2 had the normal masthead value in their recognition book and not the double high value. So, we are historical correct, hm? ![]() Paco

Hi OLC,
I'm really glad to hear you dad is recovering well. Also, you have my sincere apologies regarding my failure to coordinate with you better earlier as I had intended. Got lost in the blizzard. ![]() Any time you feel like coming back to it (GWX 2.0 version) please feel free to use whatever you need. I look forward to it myself since we are largely finished bashing our heads on the keyboards. (At least for SH3 ![]() |

What program do you use to edit these files? I am more of a hardware guy but I can't imagine playing without this mod. I just need a push in the right direction.

Just go into the mod file itself and remove the sea folder before you install it. You dont need any special programs to edit it.

I've been measuring range on long ships with the scope zoomed in and AOB with it zoomed out (don't ask me to explain how without the wiz-wheel open!) feels like I will definitely be making mistakes without the doubled values. I was hoping to do a script to change the files today, but I'm bogged down with work and haven't time to install GWX yet ![]() |

[Edit] Especially not when I made a stuppid error. ![]() ![]() I can't come up with a procedure that is correct AND easy for range/AOB calculations, in both zoomed and un-zoomed state. All that ring dragging is going to make everybody dizzy. So I suggest fixing the Sea folder files anyway. I don't know what's involved with writing a script for that but it sounds like the easy way to do. I won't have GWX 2.0 anytime soon. So how many files are we talking about anyway. OLC's mod has 132 .cfg files in the Sea folders. Iceberg folders don't have a cfg file. Last edited by Pisces; 12-11-07 at 09:42 AM. |

I'm working right now on a little program to change the values and create a folder with the files ready to use with JSGME. I'll let you know of the progress.
The menu files also need work if "Alternate flotillas" option of GWX2 is installed. It shouldn't be hard to fix neither. |

So here it is! DoubleMastTool
Download link: http://www.megaupload.com/es/?d=OR7P6JTG Instructions: 1. Make sure you don't have the default OLC_GUI installed 2. Delete the Sea folder from the OLC_GUI mod folder. 3. Run DoubleMastTool from anywhere. 3.1. The default folder values should be correct, but make sure they are. 3.2. Click Convert! 3.3. DoubleMastTool has generated a new JSGME mod 4. Run JSGME and activate both mods: OLC_GUI and DoubleMastTool 5. Enjoy! I hope this works as planned. After a very brief test, everything looks fine. Maybe tomorrow I'll write another program for the menu files. I think that would make OLC 100% compatible with GWX2 (or so I hope). Then would be time for a proper release of the tools (with source code) if OLC agrees. Thank you to OLC and all the GWX crew. Now SH3 really rocks!! ![]() |
