Is there a way (and would that be wise) if we also individually emailed them and ask? Perhaps they'd be more amenable if it was pointed out to them that, were this community able to fully (or mostly fully) implement all the features that seem to have been originally planned for, they might have people buy the product that otherwise have been reluctant to do so due to the knowledge that stock 'vanilla' SHIII was --and still is-- to be blunt, a 'diamond in the rough'.
