After assigning a tracker in narrow, review it, then, switch to broad with that bearing, assign tracker, then you should have a depressible in Demon waterfall, only if you are close enough and the 60° blindspot on bow is away from said bearings. Oh and you have to be within 10 mikes of target.
Try slowing down your knots and pull that towed array for the drop. You'll find you can hear it better. In 688i, 2 knots and 65-70% of array towed gives best results. |

no I'm using vanilla. I kind of try to learn TMA thoroughly but is there a graphic for the 3 types of ocean (bottom limited, surface duct, convergence zone?) ? to help me understand?

Ok, well with mods like LWAMI you can expect that 10 nm limit to disappear.
Go to Bill Nichols site. His link is up above as an image in his post signature. Go to the downloads section on subguru.com and find TimmyG00's tactical manual. It should have some clarifications on the various underwater accoustic modes. It's writen for Subcommand but equally applies to DW. |
