I have to say that Marhkimov, Kpt. Lehmann and the others have put much much more work into this mod than I ever did.

I was with them in the beginning but had to leave games totally for a period of time including the next few months which kind off let them down.

I always knew this team had similar ideas and were capable of producing something that will rock the sub sim when done so I was happy to leave my uncomplete work in their hands.

I have read tonnes of emails concerning the amount of hours that was spent by every member of the team in trying to bring some totally new and brilliant graphical work as well as expanding the world. Not only this but they spent many an hour re-doing music etc.

You guys are in for a treat with this mod and what is good to know is the fact that this will have further support from the mod devs for some time to come.

I envy you all as I cannot play it till June (exams over and work more stable)

Well-done Greywolves

I'd just like to say thank you very very much for this. I look forward to it with great anticipation...just what we need for WaW.

I know a LOT of work went into this mod. It is simply amazing what has been changed. I'm sure you all are going to love it. Seeing how much went into this mod, I kind of feel "insignificant" being as I am only a tester. And let me tell you, the version that I tested ran solid. I was surprised at the changes that were done. This mod will have a special place in the Silent Hunter history.

It sounds very interesting!
How many MB should I reserve for this on my HDD?
What about realism - better than RUb?

Compressed, if I remember right, was over 400MB. Uncompressed it is probably 1GB.

Sounds very good

What about performance? Will it slow game performance like the atmosphere mods?

depends on you.
the player will have the choice between 8km and 16km visibility and some other things. its in a "additional mods" folder. for me, there was no difference to my former version (modded with high traffic campaigns and 16km).

so i say "no"... but dont wonder if it does when you run it on a slow system - logic

Well Wolves is plural right?

Anway, will this mod make all the other mods I have installed unneeded? Should everyone that wants it have a nice clean install to install it?

That's in the eye of the beholder.

I would recommend it. The mod changes LOTS of things, so if you have a custom SH3 install things might get dicy. You don't have to completely erase your custom SH3 install, though. Just copy the Data folder somewhere else. That way if you ever wanted to play the custom one again, all you have to do is move the data folders around. You will, however, need quite a bit of space to move those folders around. I've got four different Data folders layin around, and they like their space.
