I just realised the textfield really needs a dark backround too, its hardly readable against the navmap and the bordintrumente 1.0 periscope i'm using.

Another afterthought... could I just have the console stay out all the time? I'm sure theres something in the Menu_1024_768.ini that changes this, just don't know what or where.
It's just that I like to see what TC I'm on and what radio messages/kontact updates I'm getting without having to make the console pop up from the bottom all the time. |

@FLB sale U-999: This mod looks excellent. I just think the installation is too complicated. Do you think about offering an automatic installation program? If you need simple program code to create / change the entries with SetPrivateProfileString() I can send them to you. It would certainly be easier to do it once for all users, then let everyone go through that ordeal

So i will look if i find good Textures, which are sharp enough for enlarging them, and built one with the Original Compass from the Bordinstrumente mod. To make new 3 Dials and include them somehwere to have (Big Problem is the space where to have them, because there isn`t much free space) them, should be no Prob. But that is not what i want to have in the game. That is the Reason why i deactivated those small dials, which i hated so long time! But maybe when i will have some free time i will built this mod out. With new Features or so.....time will see. Hm, I think it might be possible to write an installer, and not extremely hard, as the structure of the files is that of an .ini file. There exist functions in win32 for reading writing those files that are very simple and very good, unfortunately some of the files in Sh3 can't be used with them. to be honest I am a bit worried about those colons and commentaries in the menu file, which could mean they could not be used like standard .ini files. If that should be the case, it would be harder, but still doable.
I think this mod is fantastic, so if you find somebody who can do some basic programming, I could send you some code how to easily write the entries. All you would have to do is insert the many values you change. But, hm, it's a possibility, i don't think it's without problems though. GE P.S. Ich spreche auch Deutsch. Wenn du Fragen hast, schick mir 'ne pm.

I just tryed to install this mod... Went through all the steps and added the new numbers like the readme says but when the game is about to load and says Initializing I get this warning error
Menu ID Not Found: 0x3f1c0007! ![]() ***EDIT*** Fixed the problem, I accidently skipped a number for all the new entrys I had to add in the 1024 file. I fixed the numbers and everything is working perfectly now. I Have to say, this mod really changes the game for the better, the menu's are out of the way and when you do need to use them they are visible and big enough to do exactually what you want. This is how SH3 should have been in the first place, I highly recommend this though the install is a little scary ![]() Nice Work FLB sale U-999, Superb Mod! and a big thumbs up from me to you! ![]() ![]() ![]() Wolfy

I have your 4 dial slideout mod installed and really like it. In the readme of this mod you state that this mod is not compatable with the 4 dial one. So what do I do with the 4 dial mod, and all the changs I made to install it? Do I leave it and install this one over it, or do I have to reverse all the changes I made in the files? irish1958 |

Irish, hope you'd saved the ini before add the change. So here what u must to do. Deinstall completely the 4dials cause it's not compatible with the 6 dials. Install the 6dials. Use JSGME for better use. I explain. I copy a "clean" 1024x768.iniand include it in the mode at the right way, add the change asked by the 6dials mod, and JSGME do the rest ![]() ... |
