Hi Redwine,

inside Precision_Periscope_modv1.zip are only periscopes with pin ups girl. Do you have without to? It's time for release Precision_Periscope_modv2 :-).

I want version without pin up girls too .

thx

4 Others,

Precision Periscope works well with any other mods and patch 1.4b.

Rubini,

thanks for good idea with Shift+Mouse Wheel (I use CTRL+TAB, but this is better )

Cdr Gibs,

I have redefined View to head and Heading to View to another keys.

Code:
[Cmd148]
Name=Heading_to_view
Ctxt=1
MnID=0x3F450010
Key0=0x60,C,"NumPad 0"
Key1=0x65,Cc,"CTRL NumPad 5"

[Cmd149]
Name=View_to_heading
Ctxt=1
Key0=0x0D,C,"Enter"
Key1=0x65,C,"NumPad 5"
For me 10x zoom with Ctrl+Plus and Ctrl+Minus works well. But that's true, I have heavy modified Commands_en.cfg .

You are right, it was a mistake, the "Step 5" folder was souposed to contain a clear periscopes with no pin-ups, but they have the Set1 files instead.

I will check if i stored the original Photoshop files.

RUB is a great mod but i do not use it and do not know wich files it touch, anyway, if you made the modifications manualy as is explained into the text files into precision Periscope Mod, sure you will have not any uncompatibility.

With these instructions to made the modifications manually you will be able to adapt the mod to any other files you have installed.

I find that I can use the mouse wheel to toggle to zoom level 10.

For instance, at the obs periscope I can scroll up once to go to 1x zoom. Then I can scroll up once more to go to 10x zoom.

To do this, all you have to do is use TT's mini tweek tool and change the camera.dat "optical" settings. You can do this for whichever instrument you want: UZO, obs peri, attack peri, binoculars. Go to the optical tab for the instrument and change the unknown values 1 and 2.

The first value will be the zoom level for the first wheel scroll. The second value will be the zoom level for the second wheel scroll. For instance, here are the default values for the obs periscope:

unknown value = 1
unknown value = 4

Change it to this:

unknown value = 1
unknown value = 10

And it will work

THE TRICK... is that you have to move the backup file that is created in data\library. It is called "Copy of Cameras.dat" and you cannot leave it in that folder or else it will override any changes you have made. Either move it out or put it in a sub-folder.

Try it!

Only this way, using shift + M. wheel, it works.

So,
I have the 1x to 10x using shift + mouse wheel in and out. When I use only M. wheel the game works as the default settings.

Rubini.

Edit: I also don't know nothing about "Name=Cam_tight_toggle" command.
Thanks Rubinni

Yes, if you change it, you will switch between 1x-10x.

The game can only support a maximum of two settings.

either 1x-4x,
or 1x-10x,
or 4x-10x,
or whatever you want.

But you can only have two.

I reach now 10X with CTRL + Plus, this give many intermediate magnifications, and when swich TAB, switch between 1x-4x.

The good will be to maintain TAB between original setting, and be able to introduc the CTRL + PLUS function and behavior into the mouse wheel, being able to switch between, 1x, 1,5x, 2x, 2.5x.............. 8.5x, 9x, 9.5x, 10x.

May be posible ?
