Just the T-I's. Long range, high speed, reliable, customizable to fit any situation, menacing-looking wake
Unless the enemy is already looking for me they almost never see the wake in time, so it's stealthy enough for me.

37 people can't be wrong

Steam=speed=precision

Put them to fast in the TDC and fire from a short range (within 1000m). No ship will evade that.

Havent seen a target yet that was able to turn away from a steamtorp below 700 meters if it runs at top speed And at night they also arent very visible.

as long as it are merchants, steamtorps wil do fine for me.

I'm hot for steam but have been loading with more electric torpedoes lately. I have changed my tactics somewhat since sinking two Yanks in July of '41 in convoy (bastards!), and getting raked over the coals by BdU.

I now prefer the dawn attack with electrics in my first volley. Wait for the big T3's to come into range and sling my steam torp's at them.

Steam.

I don't go out unless I have at least 1 steam-powered fish on my vessel...

I will take electric with me, however, if I'm going to attack a harbor. The problem with steam fish is their trail of bubbles. Electric ones lack that, luckily, but they falter in speed.

[quote=bookworm_020]Steam is the way to go for night and bad weather attacks, Electric for day attacks, Deck gun for knocking off damaged ships and small fry, AA for fishing boats, coastal ships and tugs.

Thats also my way. Also electric always at stern tube for DDs.!

T-IV & T-V

Time to stop being the hunted and go back on the hunt I fear no destroyer when I got these hunters, a couple of them soon puts the wind up a Destroyer.
