By the manual, page 5-24 : "every two minutes the latest line of bearing is added to the board".

To be sure, I tried "Kilo demo". I assigned a tracker to a ship at 1200 (well max 10 seconds after) and switched to TMA. The line was there. The thing I've never noted (thanks, abc) was that OS "drag" that LOB . At 1202 it stopped moving. Next line appeared at 1204.

I fully agree with OKO an Xab about DW'manual. It is awesome. Thanks Sonalysts. Yes I've buyed the game with the printed version , which lives besides my bed.

The following text is misleading: “As long as a tracker is tracking, bearing information is sent to TMA in two-minute intervals.�

Change to: Once a contact is marked and a tracker is assigned, bearing information is sent to TMA. The first returns are time-averaged so the second line of bearing does not appear on the TMA Plot until four minutes after the contact is designated. Thereafter bearing information is sent to TMA in two-minute intervals as long as a tracker is assigned and the contact is still detected.

I didn't saw that old one, find it when doing a search ...
Tgio : take your stopwatch and use it, you will see ...
The first LOB IS 4 minutes long, this is the time the tracker need to "lock" the new track.
What you said about the manual concern LOB FROM THE 2ND ONE and not from the first.
just test yourself.

Just for the record, and to clarify things for Newbies, reference in sub TMA to 'two- minute intervals'
does not apply to first returns. There is an error in the manual.
Additions and corrections to the printed/pdf manual can be found in the file '"SCS-DW-ManualErrata_V.1.pdf",
located in the installed Manual folder, as well as the Manual folder on game disk 1.'

Just to add my in the hope of providing total clarity.

Just remember that in the Kilo contacts are not bugged with trackers when you press the "mark" button. You need to go back and manually mark the contact or assign one of the two trackers in order to pass further bearings to the TMA station.

If you do neither, you won't get any updated bearings.

What exactly is meant with time average? How is OS "dragging" the first LOB? Dont quite get it.
