In the late 1990s it took just a couple of big sim releases that got the reputation of being very bug-ridden (Falcon and Red Baron 2) to all-but destroy the simulation genre - a genre that was preeminent until that time. These days, with simulations being very much weaker as a genre, even a minor issue with a single game can cause serious long-term problems for the genre as a whole. I believe game companies are looking at SH3 and seeing whether it's worth putting money into simulations again. The more we can do to make SH3 attractive to new players, the more likely we are to see high quality simulations make a comeback.

The crew models haven't been found yet? It's somewhat an interesting thing. I would put things in this order:
- Fix the interiors. - Fix the looking of the crew. - Make new ships (but this one is already in the first place, sooo) - Make new harbour models. - Fix the looking of the DDs crews. - Make other countries' subs (the first would be the american/japanese ones) ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Have played a session with this mod.
It is good but I think I have got use to my Pascal's uniforms, so it did not feel right. ![]() Think I might merge the 2, using the insignia file from one with the uniforms, of the other, etc. :hmm: Will certainly consider any future work in this series, please keep at it. ![]() ![]() |

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit, got me the 1:72 model of the VIIC. Beautiful model but a bit disproportioned. Conning tower is too small for the keel but otherwise she is a beauty! I have chosen the "Red Devil" U-552 as my end product with a bit of a tweak to make her look like the SH3 VIIB. I will post pics when I get her done.
Thanks for the feedback lads, and the encouragement. I just did a fixup on the textures and released it as Sub_Crew2, I think you will be pleased. I agree on the Pascal skins. I was going to upgrade them to sharper imaging but that is a bit harder than doctoring up the stock ones. Plus I didn't want to tread on his toes, he works hard. I tried to emboss the emblem on the tunic, in this new release, but I believe it is a modeling tweak. Hopefully with San's new importer we can fix this and more on the meshes. |

Oh, a few things. *cheers for Beery*!!! Well said! I hope Ubi is listening.
As to the installation of the mod, it is only textures and will write ofer only the textures in each sub-folder so use installer or manual it does the same thing. Pics coming very soon..... I think ![]() |

Pascal has largely fixed the problem and has a really great crew mod, however the insignia on the crews chests are too blurry to see the swastika/ HakenKreuz. (not a political statement, but if it was there during the war... I want to see it on my PC... visual realism is just as important to me as content realism, if not MORE-SO.) |

You didn't specify an image, the filename does not end with...
.jpg .gif .bmp I would say thry this.... ![]() But it obviously doesn't work either. ![]() Yahoo probably doesn't allow hotlinking. Try imageshack or photobucket as suggested by marhkimov.
