I wonder how UBI feels about seawolves being represented as a UBI product?

This thing is like a bad vampire movie.

Everytime you think its dead it rears its ugly head again.

Do us all a favor and let this thread die the death it deserves.

It's not recopying the game CB...just the repackaged mods...read the "seewolves" threads. You would need the game before buying this mod.

Be in mind, that's for New Zealand!

CFS4 89.95 NZD = 62.64 USD
SHIII:Seawolves 69.95 NZD = 48.71 USD

now then if UBI released the much promised ship/sub/port/anything really modeling tools even if it were on a seperate disc costing the same as the game it self...i would buy that without a seconds hesitation and so IMO would most other people who have gotten addicted to the game.....

they did promise remember---?

chances of that happening of course are NIL.....were back to "secret squirel and his elite band of vertex noodlers" instead of SH3 becoming the subsim equivilant of microsofts flight simulator with everything from battle of Trafalgar tall ships to modern present day cruisers being modelled...not to mention the rest ...DUMB real DUMB....

only one good thing about payware add-ons for subsims and it's a slim one....is that it might catch the eye of other developers as being an area they might be profitable to invest in ...the jist being if the subsim community is bouyant (excuse the pun) enough to support payware add-ons (the flight sim community is swamped with them with more coming every day all eagerly snapped up for the most part) then it is allso bouyant enough to support a developers investment..

for example if UBI did release their modelling tools with a license for commercail production..would we buy an add-on disc that up graded the sub and ship models? (this is something that happens constantly in flight sims)....
SH3 is certainly the engine to support endless expansion it's every bit as impressive (more so in fact) as the latest Flight Sims..

swings and round-a-bouts..i don't like the content of the seawolves add-on from what the site describes for the price...but the concept isn't un acceptable..if i wandered into my local gaming store and found a SH3 expansion pack for sale...maybe a pacific pack or a british pack or italian ..or a WW1 pack then i'd buy it simple as that..check out the Flight sim section of your store next time your there and you'll see dozens of such add-on packs..ut what you want and expect from a payware add-on disc is something you could not do your self or have gotten for free from around the normal subsim download sites ....

Pacific Aces would have sold like hot cakes....and would have been better than a lot of professional add-ons that have been released for flight sims...for example...

personally i'd like to see some SH3 expansion packs down the game store....it's possible with SH3 being so popular and breaking new ground with previuosly uninterested gamers..it's gotten big enough to attarct this sort of thing...so yes to payware add-ons such as ships subs etc but no to payware mods..IMO

still rather make em myself tho..lol

Hopefully I have attoned for starting this thread last night when I was asleep on my feet...

Here is a copy of the E-Mail I just recieved from the Gamesman

=======================================
Hi John.

Thank you very much for the info that you listed below. You were 1 of 2 people that I have received emails concerning this title about today.

Both of you have stated the same facts and I have contacted the local Ubisoft distributors here in NZ and they themselves have not heard of this title coming in from Ubisoft.

I have today removed the item from sale and at this stage will not look at getting the item in for retail.

Thanks you very much for the info supplied, I really don't want to support theft of intellectual property.

Cheers

Shane
