Uuuhh lurking wel uh i'm quite new to the subsim genre. I'm a avid flightsimmer for years. But I saw Silent Hunter in the shops and as a young kid a read about the german imperial navy and there use of subs, so that triggered my interest again ...

hello one thing about monnickendam ...take the last word of the name DAM give you some idea that holland is one big flat waiting for a flooding :P

Yep in the 14the century that is...the word 'dam' denotes a place in a river where one could wade through the river....

Did you know that New London, CT is the submarine capitol of the world? It even says so on the Interstate-95 Off-ramp!

USS Nautilus museum, SUBASE New London, tour some U.S. Submarines, U.S. Subvets Headquarters (aka cheap drinks), and submarine memorobilia all over the place.. (Hint, Hint)

It is not about Holland or any place we held the meeting. It is about people meeting and having a good time

You just like subs, then the meet is probably not your thing, you like people and hate subs, then you will love the meets
