Maybe R.Hood is Ossie?

Maybe this is a conspiracy to make us look bad.

Maybe it is an unscrupulous member doing things which in this case JC is right.

Hmmm curiouser and curiouser....

Well it sounds a bit strange that those of you who tried to download the last part was told that you needed a premium account, costing money. Some kind of cooperation between Rapidshare and X1?

It seems the drama continues...

It was not OSSI and I am pretty sure I know the reasons behind what was done. Suffice it to say that there is no conspiracy (corporate or otherwise), but rather a simple case of one person having a really bad idea.

Let's ignore all this X1 stuff.
There is nothing new in it anyway........and for those who would still like to have it, it can be downloaded from the internet in the usual places; but it is hardly worth the trouble.
All mods are available for free.
Let's give the X1 wreck a rest..........

I have a rapidshare premium account, if you want to tell me the link to that last file I will get it for you (not interested in their stuff myself, but eager to help you people deciper this...

Ok... it seems some further clarification is in order.

1) There is nothing to decipher. The poster that put these links up calls him(her) self R Hood. Robin Hood... get it? Steals from the rich and all that nonsense. But stealing is stealing. He/She has made two posts, and both encourage illegal activity.

2) The links were deleted for a reason. Warez is warez, regardless of where it is coming from, and asking for a link to download warez is just about the fastest way to get banned from these forums.

3) That includes using pm's to get the link as well.

4) It is also a really good way to get a thread locked.

One last clarification and then I will let this thread die the death it deserves.

I really don't think anyone has set out with malicious intentions here. People are just doing what they think is right or taking action that they feel will help or at least redress a perceived injustice.

And as far as that goes ... Great!

Where we get into trouble is when we act like the people we seek to condemn. If it is true that X1 stole the mods, how then are we any better when we steal something from them. The original intention and motives of "R Hood" are obvious to the point of being transparent. The problem comes when anyone decides to download the files. By doing that you are committing exactly the same act that X1 has alledgely committed against some of our own. This fixes nothing, it solves nothing... it does, however, cause us to surrender the moral highground and takes the resolve out of our position..

And I, for one, am not prepared to do that.

PS. NZ_Wanderer... I believe you didn't understand the situation and were just hoping to help so no problem mate. You are welcome here anytime.
