If I paste this link into new FIREFOX window/tab, it throws me to the main forum page. Maybe some bad browser setting, I will check that later. In IE, all your links work how thay should work. THX for the browser tip again. Did you anytime notice any browser problems of this sort?
I've never had any problems. It seems that Firefox may behave strange in some situations, but the result is the same if you put "http://subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=something" than if you put "http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=something" in IE, which are the two kinds of links on the list.
Glad that my comment helped you.
I don't know if it was intention or just luck, but you helped me again That's IT !!!!!!! The problem is in "www." If it's missing, that IE=OK, Firefox=BAD, if "www." is in the link, than IE=OK, Firefox=OK. That www prefix shouldn't be problem if domain server supports both forms, but I don't know why - that's a problem in Firefox (related to subsim.com, because I have never noticed anything like this at other sites). So this is the problem. But the solution? Will have to be found

This doesn't work for me using Firefox Works perfectly in IE and probably works in other browsers not based on Mozilla. But maybe it works in Mozilla/Firefox too and is caused by any personal bad browser setting.

Quite possible. Hmmm, here's a thought, what version Firefox are you using? I'm using 1.0.6

I click the links in the first post and for some reason the links all take me just to the index page.

Please, check everybody what the links do when you use the www.subsim.com and when you use subsim.com links.

Write this on the FRONT PAGE, with large, visible letters (but I'll do it now ):

If you are using Firefox, RIGHT-CLICK the link and select "COPY LINK LOCATION"
Then, PASTE this link into your URL bar and ADD "WWW" to the link, so that for instance

http://subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=37938

becomes

http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=37938

Even easier. I've executed a little NotePad job of "search and replace". Now all subsim internal links are of the www style.

Great Job martes86, but I'm still confused about behavior of Firefox in this situation. Why had to be the "www." prefix there? Is the reason somehow connected to the settings of the domain server? I'll try to find out that
