Next mod I want to try is Manos environments. This is confusing as there are several choices in the folder. Itried before but I wasn't sure if it was doing anything different.

My setup so far is:

4gb patch.

JGSME

Running Win7

Nvidia card. (Not sure which type?)

Here are the Manos files. Which would you recommend?

M.E.P v5 - VisualSensors for WAC v5.2

M.E.P v5 - VisualSensors for WAC5

M.E.P v6 - VisualSensors for WAC v5.2

M.E.P v6 - VisualSensors for WAC5

ManosEnvironmentPro v1.1

ManosEnvironmentPro v2.1

ManosEnvironmentPro v3 +FIX pack+Sensors

ManosEnvironmentPro v4.2

ManosEnvironmentPro v5

ManosEnvironmentPro v5 with GREEN Water

ManosEnvironmentPro v6

Update M.E.P v4.2 to v4.3

Thankyou!

You have several versions of his work there; 1,2, 4, 5, and 6. You only need one in the game at a time, 6 is the latest if that matters to you.
However it is a 20k visual distance mod which may tax your pc if it's an older one.
I have used 5 and 6 but do not any longer but they're all excellent work. I liked his green work vs. the blue of the others, but that's me.

The various sensor files are only for the mod/manos version listed.

The main mod itself is the ones listed "ManosEnvironmentPro vX". MEP is the acronym used on the forum for the same mods.

Be sure to read his readme and info for install info.

I take it that by 'ManosEnvironmentPro vX' you're just referring to any of the modes listed above and not a particulat mod called ManosEnvironmentPro vX?

I read the read me but it's not clear If I put the whole folder ie 'ManosEnvironmentPro v6' in the JGSME and move to column on the right or unpack specific folders within this to MODS folder ie 'M.E.P v6' and move that to right followed by other sensors etc?

Thanks,

Comp

Correct, "X" just means the version number.

Inside the ManosEnvironmentPro v6 folder is the main mod folder you move to the right in JSGME; it's called M.E.P. v6.

Then you would install any of the optional mods desired (I recommend the FSF (flat sun fix) and ShipsVanishingHull mods. See readme for install order and info.).

Then you would install the 20k visual sensor for the megamod listed if you're using one of those.
If not, ignore them. However, for the main MEP mod to work you need some 20k sensors from some where and it doesn't provide them on it's own. The readme does tell how to edit the sensor files one is using instead of those provided, but I'm not sure you're up for that.
I'd recommend only using the MEP mods with one of the megamods it has sensor files for.

The Stiebler folder is if you're using his patch too. If not, ignore it.

The green doesn't really show well unless it's cloudy or an external/above view.
It's subtle green but if you ever take a look at his blue versions, you'll notice the difference.

John you're a star!

I think I figured out the problem. In the U boat compilation/data/cfg I think there was stuff that overides the fatigue. Anyway, I removed the whole folder from the mod and it seems to work fine now with everything else and fatigue is back.

Warning...I may have further questions for you at a later date.

Cheers mate!

The U-Boat compilation looks great.
It WAS a must have for me.

But lately.....
I've been just running with FM interiors, and a good Fubar skin.
They mess with the Mega mods sensors... and apparently fatigue,
which I play without anyway.

I learned this from John also.
And others.
He asks a lot of questions..... and has a lot of answers.
Lol

Very useful thanks.

I enjoy some real time in the sim and interiors add something to do.

One minor problem is the animations don't work in the mod like I've seen in videos...ie hatches, flags on/off etc. Do I have to assign keys and if so where?

I'm being picky but I find the Manos green water too intense blue along with his blue water.. Are there any mods I can use with it that make the water greener or closer to the stock water?

Also there's a bigger explosions and torp explosion mods somewhere?

I find the combination of FM interiors and ARB GUI to be pretty good,
as far as freedom of movement and open hatches.
I like to move when on the bridge !!!

You don't typically assign the keys.....but learn them.
Different Mod combos do different things.

The Mods you mention, are in the download section.
The best thing I can say is try different environments.
For GWX I've settled on it's 16k Mod.
For me days look good, and nights are DARK.

My opinions are my own......and will differ from others !!!

Any mod that opens the hatches, etc. will have a commands.cfg file with it.

Look to see if it's been overwritten by another mod. One of the main things to remember when applying mods; the last one applied overwrites anything before it, if there is anything.

In JSGME, you'll get a warning notice that the mod you're applying wants to overwrite another and any actually overwrote mods will be NOT highlighted in your applied mod list.

Also another good interior and actually the one I prefer is Diving Duck's work which some of the other's are based on.
