@sjizzle...
Thanks, but that is why I love dead reckoning, because of the errors! That’s why I love real navigation. That immersive feel that I have humans doing work and making mistakes. But I appreciate you showing that for those that may not want error. |

Engaging and Disengaging Motor Shafts Properly!
I tested this mod extensively and found not only fuel consumption is significantly lowered, it appeared to charge the batteries a bit quicker. I compared results against the clock in historical missions with the same weather conditions going one third speed. Last edited by bstanko6; 03-11-19 at 10:02 PM. |

AOB Simplified
A simplified version of my AOB tutorial for SH3. There are only 5 angles we need to remember, every other angle can be estimated visually. Hope you like it! This was a great video to make because I never went to this historical mission, and hit the ship first time! I must know what I am talking about! |

nice videos but in my opinion is too use Dick O'kane targeting solution which it's easy and 100% success
there is a great video on youtube about this solution made by RockinRobbins it's made in SH4 but that solution works in each SH game... u onlye need the speed and the target heading if u know both of them u position your boat at 90% to the target Heading.... easy method and very efficient ....

@Sjizzle...
You are absolutely correct. I just wanted to show the guys that an AOB can be found visually at any degree with simple rules of thumb, and we both know that a 90 deg angle is not always possible. I think the more tools at our disposal is better. Plus with the Dick Okane method the video shows map contacts which I never use. my methods are at 100% realism, so my errors in plotting a target course can mean I have to visually get AOB. Sometimes ships can come out of fog, or if we are attacking destroyers, we need a quicker method to get the AOB. Plus I do this method most days, and I have a great time doing it!
