Steve it's basically the same mode of transport Evel used. He just didn't make it due to a faulty parachute. Eddie had no problems and his jump was a success. Hats off to him.... and to Evel too as he worked just as hard. Not many of us would have the balls to try it.

I think that is great! Not to mention the craft and chute are engineered to allow for a soft landing. Let's face it...it was nose-in and a good chance the chute not work. Accordion rocket and rider!
