Milwaukee is OK for a bottom of the line tool.
I use the Porter Cable cordless 2 gallon Wet/Dry vac myself.

Well there is the issue of portability. I'd rather carry a drill sized item than haul around a suit case. Besides it uses the same batteries as my cordless hammer drill, impact driver, circular saw, saws-all, area light and jig saw and several more items i'd like to get.

Right. In my favor is that ALL my cordless are Porter Cable so I have the same advantage as you. Plus this Vac can suck up water if need be.

But I do work on a professional level in commercial construction so It may be above the average user tool.

Well I dunno. I have also been working in a professional level on commercial construction sites since the mid 1980's and it's been my experience that Porter tools (a Lowes product I believe?) in general are kind of on the cheap side.

Do I want to use this model of Milwalkee for cleaning up around a table saw? No, they make bigger vaccuums for that application, but i will tell you the one I have is handy as heck to clean up bits of ceiling tile, sheet rock and concrete dust that is generated when we run cable.

I just prefer the Porter Cable tools myself for small equipment.

I know what you mean about bigger equipment for a bigger job having just dropped nearly $22,000 on some grinding equipment.

That's the Company. Not me personally. Although it's the equipment I asked for.

I've seen that on job sites and is a nice bit of kit!
Works much better, safer, and faster then a cut off wheel.

Well i bought a Dyson, too, the normal, plug and cable thing. While it sucks as good as any other vacum cleaner and does not need those bags (which was the reason i got it), i think the quality also sucks, especially for that price.

All plastic tubes and connectors will wear out soon, making the whole contraption very rickety, also the fixings for additional tools begin to fall off.

Opening the dirt container over a dustbin during anything but still air will cover all the surroundings including you with the contents. Every half a year you really have to dismantle the thing down to those tiny torx screws to get out cat hairs and all kinds of other stuff sticking in the corners and edges.

Ah, and the first motor just burned out after a quarter of a year - got a free repair and all that but really .. not again.

I admit it looks very professional for a vacuum cleaner, like you need a pilot's license for it, and Mr Wormold would have been proud to show this to MI6.

Sorry I missed your reply but yep it cuts threaded rod without creating an burr so hardware can be screwed right on without filing the end.
