Good point. France only has troops on 3 of the 4 current UN deployments there, Austria now only has them on 2 of the 4. France must step up and increase in a negative manner to match the Austrians.

Under the deserts in Northern Mali and Eastern Niger is the world’s third largest reserve of uranium as well as substantial oil reserves. France cannot afford to lose the uranium reserves in Mali, especially with China gifting millions to buy influence and access to the regional natural wealth.
