Missing US women found after decade - Page 2

A sad and depressing occurrence. It's very strange that 3 people could be held against their will for so long; and in an urban area, too.

Nobody will ever be able to restore all the years these women have missed out on.

Yeah, agreed, he's a good guy. I love his straight-forward sense of urgency with the 911 operator.

Now the race card has been thrown into the mix. So what, he's funny, and he knows it. He did a great deed and is being praised, while his sense of humor and style are also being lauded. I imagine if an East Texas hillbilly had done this and was being interviewed, there would be no shortage of laughs at his style. People need to lighten up.

Some have obviously seized on the opportunistic bandwagon as a result of his final comment during the interview, the one regarding a white woman running into a black mans arms.

Me, I'd buy and share a beer with that guy any day...at least you know your daughter and family would be safe in his company.

Okay, fine. Now please imagine yourself into kidnapper's boots now (yeah I know its hard). If there is automatic death sentence why would you spare your kidnapping/rape victim(s)'s life? Why not just slit that little girl's throath so she won't tell anyone?

I think they'd just as likely slit her throat to escape the kidnapping charge. Hostages have been killed for a lot less.

That is ofcourse possible but not all rape cases include kidnapping (atleast not here in another side of pond) and victim is usually not killed. Why not I don't know for sure but I would guess that "only" raping having lesser consequences than rape & murder would have something to do with it.
