It is a different thing to throw a small dog a blanket in winter when they freeze because they are so over-sophisticated that they can't handle nature anymore, ok. But stupid sailor-outfits or sunglasses, shoes and all that crap? Just sick and another proof that one should have to make a license before allowed to own a dog. |

I understand doggy outfits, a photoshoot for a greeting card, an occasional pijama and a blanket that can be tied.
But something is wrong with the owners of the dogs in the OP link |

But dogs do indeed wear outfits. The OP link, Sister in Law and a billion cute pictures of outfit wearing animals prove it.

But they don't wear them voluntarily. Most animals have to be forced into outfits unless they've learned that they'll benefit from them like little jackets in winter for smaller dogs.

I don't claim extensive experience with dog dressers as a group but the ones I do know do not get their jollies by forcing their beloved pets to do anything against their wishes. Maybe my objection is only because of the width of your tarring brush? Can you tell me what is so wrong about what they do?

Ok, why would anyone force an animal to wear an outifit it doesn't want to wear and never would wear voluntarily?
The animal usually doesn't appreciate it one bit (at least not in the few cases that I witnessed). It doesn't do anything good for the animal (except clothing against cold whether which I don't oppose at all) and they often times try to get rid of the outfit (again, maybe my knowledge here is too limited but I've never seen a dog that wanted to wear stuff unless it had learned that it would protect him from the cold). So forcing animals into outifts doesn't serve any purpose for the animal. Let an animal be an animal and not a dress up doll (is that an English word?).

I wonder if you would extend these feelings to dressing up human children? I've never seen a pet fight getting clothes put on them like a kid will. I also want to differentiate dressing up a pet with cropping their ears or tail.
