Default Ships exploding after 1 hit..

Did I mess up the install of something??

Running TMO/RSRD/OTC

It seems every time just 1 torp (20% of the time it takes 2) hits the ship, about 5 seconds later, a major explosion as if c4 was planted throughout the ship and she breaks into 2.

EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Kind of annoying to be honest.

Sounds like you're just running into a lot of ships that are carrying ammo or fuel, which causes a larger than normal explosion. If it's every ship, then something is off. Several of the merchants carry an inner and outer cargo, if one has ammo crates and fuel, you'll get a mass explosion and one torp will always sink them.

Just know for these loaded ships, the blast range is greatly increased, don't get too close. I've hit a loaded ship and the resulting explosion explodes another loaded ship nearby, which explodes another. I've sunk up to 8 ships this way. The problem is you only get credit for the one you hit with the torp. Course I know what the cargo loadout looks like, if I see a ship loaded with ammo, I'll try to time it when an escort or two is near it and hope when I explode the merchant I'll rid myself of a few escorts.

Like this. I timed when I thought the escort would be close, blew up loaded merchant which blew up the pesky escort. One torp, two kills.

I thought I would weigh in because as you can see, I use the same mods. I am not experiencing those results. Unfortunately that's all the help I can provide. Someone more experience than me can help you. Good luck.

Sounds like your game has it's switch stuck on "Arcade Mode".

[Sorry, I couldn't resist. ]

When / How did you make your last mod changes?

I was using TMO/OTC

I wanted RSRD, so I took out OTC and put in RSRD in the proper order.
RSRD is working, no doubt, just seems funny right now, planes flying over me., not attacking, ships getting cut in half, and exploding with tnt
