Film "Das Boot" Best Version

I will be getting this movie in the near future. I really want the Blu-Ray version but I also don't want to miss out on the full length version as I've never seen it.

Not only one of the best war movies ever made but one of the best movies ever made period. It tells a human story unlike any other movie does.

On a slightly related note. There's an insane burning rage within me reserved for overdubbing. I can't stand it. I always watch movies in their original language. It got pretty rough when I was watching Tora, Tora, Tora in Japanese with Norwegian subtitles (I'm Finnish).

I watched this film (one of my all time favourites) the very first time many years ago.
I had an old tv set that soometimes reverted to black and white, so this is how I saw the movie first.
It was german with subtitles.
Years later I saw the film again and was shocked that it was colour, viewing in b/w was soooo much more claustraphobic and tense that I recommend it to everyone.
Should of been filmed that way in first place imo!
