Ok, thanks. There are several "fire" and "smoke" nodes in both .DAT files, so it'll take a while to tweek them all to figure out which ones need to be changed.

Ok, I'm stumped. I've played with the numbers for the "fire" nodes in both PARTICLES.DAT and MATERIALS.DAT with S3D for two weeks and I'm still getting square "boxy" looking flames on burning ships that I have torpedoed. I even played with my Nvidia settings, but so far nothing has worked. Anyone have any ideas as to what I need to do to get the flames to look more realistic?
