Good.

Again, having some personal connections in Staten Island, I can confirm that there is indeed some real problems and some real anger there. They have a right to be frustrated, so in this case, I can only approve of the decision. It's just a sensible thing to do when people are still digging out.

With another storm on the way, they need to get a move on, folks need to get out of ground zero and find shelter, others need supplies to stick it out. If don't have access to clean drinking water, you need to go where it is because you are in a desert, if you don't know how to live in one well I'll let you figure that out.

It's a deepening low pressure, not necessarily another major storm. It might hamper repair efforts a bit, but at the moment it's not exactly Armageddon.

Well I ment it would be wet, I hate cold wet. And clean drinking water is a must, four days without it your toast.

One thing is for sure.

No matter what decision would have been made concerning the marathon, someone would complain.

For some, complaining is the only thing in their lives, it seems.

Well Bloomburg said it wouldn't have deverted any city resources, well it would have taken boots off the ground to cater to 30,000 runners that could be helping people out, or delivering water and send those generators to a hospital or to a shelter, lets have alittle common scence peoples lives are at stake.

You should have thought of that before you tried to turn it into another biased political issue.

So you mean the government should round people up and put them in government facilities.
Sorry yubba you have already dug your own hole with that one, now wallow in your own self made pit.

So you figured out its all about the almighty dollar. People and their well being have very little to do with this decision. Don't confuse this stunt as a moral booster for those affected by the storm. Personally I think it should never have come into question. Post pone.

Earlier, some runners who had signed up for the race told local website Gothamist they would instead volunteer on Staten Island. As the cancellation was announced, other runners said they would do the same.
Nice one
