For a "no smiling" documentary on the effects of nuclear testing, I can recommend the film "Radio Bikini".

If the end segment does not give you a kick in the stomach, you ain't human.

Just watched Radio Bikini.
We did not know of what happened .. we take care of our own.
Especially at 43.38, and what the "doctor" said, in the "interview" of the following scene.
I did not want to watch it, i have see so much of this crap already during my time in the military, but you just sit there and .. well. I guess one has to reach a certain age to realize that all they told you was lies and propaganda.
