New player, suggestions welcome

Any suggestions for new player? I installed the GWX3 mod.

Thinking RTFM is next step or.. jump in?

R'ingTFM is always good!

Though, I would highly recommend SH3 Commander aswell (don't forget the GWX config file for it). Then you're good to go... sink 'em all!... (is that copyrighted?)

I'd start a career, and transit at 1xTC whilst skimming through the manual for the bits on operating your boot. The best of both worlds - just keep one eye on the screen for vessels and/or land - particularly if you're in transit through the Kattegat out of Kiel.

And definately get Commander like Tinman recommends.

Trying to hunt down this commander mod. Kind of want to start with the recommended mods so I have no regrets down the road.
