Hello all. I actually joined subsim about seven years ago but had to move with the job overseas where the internet reliability was pants. Now retired back to Blighty so looking forward to downloading the larger mods to see what this sim is really capable of doing. Thanks in advance to all the great work the modders put in.

Hey guys! I'm new to the site. I've played SH3 and SH4 but never been one for mods as I've enjoyed the stock games. I bought SH5 and a friend told me that to get the best out of it I needed to mod it, so here I am.

So far I love it and it's my favourite of the series.

A bit about myself: I live in British Columbia, Canada but am originally from the United Kingdom. I am waiting to go into a Master's in History and specialise in German history from the 1800's right up to the Cold War. Nice to be part of this amazing community!

One question: how do I get promoted? Not sure I like being a "bilge rat" :p

I'm The Dark Wolf and have been playing SH3 GWX 3.0 for about two years now, tried SH4 but prefer the Atlantic.

I saw subsim mentioned during an internet search for "U-boat.net"

I have experienced a problem lately with Disappearing deck gun ammo!

and really need some help with this one.

I downloaded the mods "All weather Guns" and "Extra Ammo" and now I have NO ammo for my deck gun!

It shows on the screen, but when I go to use the gun it says "We have no ammunition"

After install of the mods I got the message "Read me file has been overwritten"

I have not been able to figure out how to get my ammo back! What file determines deck gun ammo?

I am using SH3 GWX3.0
