yeh im starting to see that. but i use the Hydro to getmyself into a 90 degree attack. for the fast 90. From there i use the scope to watch her until she passes my 0 degree gyro, which is nornally 350 degrees or 10 degrees depending on which why she is coming.

maybe i have to go watch more of the videos, maybe i have forgotten something somewhere from the time away. I know that Stonam has some videos on attacking with just hydro and then i think he has one with just scope.

The other thing i think i might do is go back to having all map contacts on as well as take off real navigator for now. Just to see how far off im plotting.

It can change a lot from those bearing.

If target is moving fast - say over 10knots
Your o gyro will be more than a 10 deg correction - the best way it to just work out the speed and enter it into yout TDC - then set o gyro.

Your torps will hit every time if you get the speed correct whan using a fast90

oh im sorry i guess i didnt explain that correctly, i always get the targets speed and input it before. Another words i place the scope on 0 degree, enter in the speed of the target an AOb of 90 degrees then i lock it down. I then move the scope to where the gyro is at 0 degrees. which normally for me is where i said either the 350 or 10 degree. somewhere there abouts. I learned that from watching stonams manual tdc tutorials.

I guess my main problem is that using the 4 bearing method i should in therory be able to have his course so that i can set up the fast 90. Range of course wont matter. but with the fact that it seems to be calling out differnt degrees to target of 1 degree, its causeing me to not have the correct course of the target ship. I never had this problem before, which is why i am confused.

I am going to go test all this out now, going to take all mods off except for TDW ui so that i can see the ship and my ship etc and then take the bearings.
