Default GWX Biscay air patrols

I loaded campaign files with SH3 Mission Editor and it looks like that all Biscay air patrols entries of SCR file are on "run once and delete" mode instead of "Loop" mode. As a result that area is well patrolled for the first two days of 1943 and 1944 only. Is it intentional or simply a bug or is it my PC that wants me to enjoy the sky clear of nasty planes?

Hi lionn77,

you are right. There is a bug in the scr layer. Bigboywooly (GWX campaign master) and I discussed this in the past (more than a year ago. There's a thread somewhere at Subsim). More recent versions, e.g., the W'haven Schleuse Mod, don't have this problem.

Cheers, LGN1

The scr files can be misleading; the Bay of Biscay becomes a nightmare starting in 43". At the beginning you can at least move out at night, later long range bombers with sonar start showing up will keep your boat going up and down all day and night for a day or two just to get into the air free zone or convey areas. If you launch from Bordeaux you don't really have to worry much about the aircover being so far south.

Does the "Piening Route" work for trying to minimize exposure to aircraft in the Bay of Biscay in GWX?

Just wondering - I've never made it to 1943 in a career so far

Cheers,
Scott

I have tried GWX with the new campaign layers, tried even to fix it myself, but
still I have no air cover over Biscaya. I can ride in the surface untouched.
Is it possible to fix this thing?
