As you might infer from the pictures that followed mine, giving out candy to tiny costumed visitors is not the only Halloween tradition that might eventually get adopted by your fair country.

There's also the tradition of festooning with toilet paper the homes and property of Halloween "Scrooges" who seem unwilling to get into the proper holiday spirit. This is known, at least in these parts, as "TP'ing" someone. Eggs and shaving cream may also be involved.

I had a great Halloween.

We had two puppies that needed to be adopted out tomorrow due to the foster needing to leave town. Was able to get the home checks done on both of them and the adoption approved tonight. I will be running the contracts tomorrow evening.

Happy ending. Two great families are getting a great puppy. 13 week old Australian Shepard/Boxer mixes. Beautiful dogs.

It was a hassle getting the logistics done but finding homes for puppies is what makes it all worth while.

A win-win Hallow-win for me

Ah I see never knew that, so I am a "TP'er"

It is a pagan tradition though poking fun to most, a woman up our street who is a self confessed white witch (good) a white witch casts good spells & a black witch (badie= black magic) casts evil spells according to her. Who's kids use to play with mine back in the day she would go to great lengths in dressing up the kids to celebrate Halloween. Till my son who was 11 yr old blurted out one Halloween he believes in Jesus so she sent him home with no lollies And her son was never allowed to play with mine again. Its not one sided some religious folks do the same to Halloween believers. It never bothered me till that day and then it was up yours Halloween witches! Kids turn up trick or treat no buggar off so I probably rightly deserve the TP name.

Actually you have the potential to be TP'd

The TP'er is the one doing it to your house because you didn't give out candy

I'd better go out and check my house frontage then because I switched the doorbell off and watched the TOON thrash Stoke City in the conservatory at the rear of the house
