How many times did he say pass this bill, right away ????????? I remeber their last bill, oh we have too pass it to see what's in it. Just more government spending, what they didn't spend enough in the stimulus last year.??? Nothing about, lowering corperate taxes, easing on regulations or energy independence. The best he could muster was, tax the rich and big corperations they have too pay their fare share.

Warren Buffet pays lower percentage than his, wait a minute he owes millions in back taxes.

Mumble Jumble, sat an listen to this via the Mark Levin Radio Show, Obama just grasping for straws for relection, thinking government is going to create more jobs. Oh by the way it was, 18 times right away, was said. Thought I was listening to a Sham Wow commerical, get it right away and you can get this slap chop too...445 billion more for union thugs, to be turned into campaign contributions.

Wish they would just admit the truth, both parties served special interest, sold out, overspent and put bandaids on every possible crisis over the last 20 years. They screwed us good and just need to admit a large majority of americans will suffer terribly for years to come and nothing can be done about it.

Mr Obama said an "American Jobs Act" would create new jobs for construction workers, teachers and the long-term unemployed

US President Barack Obama has unveiled a $450bn (£282bn) package of tax cuts and spending plans aimed at creating jobs and bolstering the economy.

He wants to fund huge construction projects, schools and services, while giving tax cuts to workers and small businesses to boost recruitment.

Mr Obama told a joint session of Congress that politicians needed to act quickly to pass the package.

Republican congressman John Boehner said the plans "merit consideration".

"We hope he gives serious consideration to our ideas as well," said Mr Boehner, the speaker of the House of Representatives.

The Republicans control the House, and have derailed many of Mr Obama's legislative proposals. Mr Boehner's support is likely to be crucial if the measures are to be approved.

Some of Mr Obama's opponents have already dismissed the jobs plan as a crude attempt to boost his flagging popularity in the run-up to next year's presidential election.

Some 9.1% of Americans are currently out of work, and the issue is expected to dominate the election campaign.
