I may be wrong, I'll have to really get down and time it. I've got a type VII pretty much stock except for a Hydrophone upgrade.
I like the surface speeds alright, the submerged speed is crazy slow. Really have to have a good wide approach with a lot of time if I'm stalking submerged. But all in all, I'm much happier with the overall performance of the boat than I'd thought I'd be (comparing to the US Fleet boats).

Pretty much all submarines of that era were slow underwater. Eight knots was about it.

That was until the Electro-boots came off the stocks (XXI, XXIII)

Or if you want SH3 Commander to activate it by date:

Note that this mod does not change the appearance of the boat in-game. It does change the max speed, range and torpedo loadout to represent the VIIA.
Fine by me,thank you. Until the changing of the external appearance of the boat. Or the type I comes also...

Default Couple more things and I'll shut up

I have two more things that are "bugging" me.
One, the binocular view is not aligned with the normal view. This is also true with the deck gun, when I aim, the scope crosshairs are misaligned with the actual firing aim. Is this a bug?? can I fix it??
Two: Is there a better looking nav map??
This one, I can barely make out the depth colors.
Thanks
