Way back in the '80's when We bombed his arse?
Forces were in place to take him out with a single,
well placed, amount of lead.

That Mission was called off.

Bet there's a few people wishing they could go back and change THAT call!

Never underestimate Qaddafi. A guy who can keep control in a nutcase country like Libya for as long as he has is about as crazy as a fox.

Besides, why the hell is NATO and Obama supporting al quaida and other terrorist groups in their attempts to gain control over the middle east politically? It's friggin insane.

Umm that's easy, it's because Al-Qaeda has nothing to do with the Arab awakening.

That article doesn't really say anything much, so he didn't actually miss anything.

When one says "My fighters are members of Al-Qaeda" does one need to say much more?

Maybe in Libya but Al-Queda were not involved in Tunsia, Egypt or Bahrain (the last is linked to Sunni-****te tensions and the latter are not at all pro-AQ).

No but members of the Muslim brotherhood like Ragab Hilal Hamida (a recently elected Egyptian MP) have been vocal in their support for AQ.

And what is going in Bahrain has links to Iran so should not really be considered part of the Arab Spring.

Perhaps you had better post an article that says that then.

The LIFG was an affiliate of AQ in the past. Many members were captured and "deradicalization" by the regime in prison. They were released a little over 2 years ago. Now they are fighting the regime with the rebels.

AQ wants to be part of it for sure:

Still no article then?
Oh well

Yes and they had a very big falling out just like AQ had fallings out with other groups fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Chad, Indonesia, Mali...... which is probably why the article didn't say what you thought it said and why the "quote" you used when you pushed it again wasn't a quote at all.

AQ wants to be part of everything, it doesn't make it the case though does it.
Do you notice that the Libyan Al-Qaida bloke in that Bozell piece happens to be the nut that was kicked out of the Libyan group of nuts?

Strange bit in that first piece though, Al-qaida,hezballah??????
Is the admiral just throwing names around?
