Well, you see, there's my problem. I was raised on the original George Reeves Adventures of Superman TV show, and I was reading comics years before Marvel brought out their superhero line, which was the early '60s. I also wasn't much of a fan of Steve Ditko's or Jack Kirby's art, preferring Curt Swan's style which I considered more 'realistic' but probably just what I was used to. All that said, Marvel pretty much invented character development in the comics, and Stan Lee & Co. pretty much set a new standard for the industry. But I was already settled in my ways, and I've never bothered to change.

Well that's it isn't it.... when I was a nipper it was all Marvel, DC was the little brother. Spiderman was all the rage and Batman had yet to become 'cool'.
