The Times Square Building downtown...

It sooo looks like it belongs on Coruscant.

TBH TLAM, when I toured RIT many moons ago, I was impressed with their, umm, architecture. That's a lot of brick.

Here's two, one new and dramatic:

DISNEY HALL

...and one strange and spooky:

WINCHESTER MYSTERY HOUSE

The Disney Hall is the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and was primarily financed by the Disney family.

The Winchester Mystery House is the former home Sarah Winchester, the widow of the heir to the Winchester Firearms Company. After the tragic death of her daughter and husband, she turned to spiritualism to try to get answers to why her life had turned so tragic. A spirtualist told her she was cursed by the ghosts of the souls killed by Winchester firearms and to atone for their deaths, she had to build a home for them. She was also told she would not die as long as construction continued on the house. While the exterior is a striking example of Victorian architecture, the interior is a maze of bizarre and amazing rooms, staircases, and other structural oddities. Work on the house continued non-stop for over 30 years; one day, workers decided to stop working and goof off. Mrs. Winchester was found dead that day.

From the website:

Quote:
The Sprawling mansion contained 160 rooms, 2,000 doors, 10,000 windows, 47 stairways, 47 fireplaces, 13 bathrooms, and 6 kitchens.
The website:

I visted the house many years ago and the tour is quite an experience, highly recommended.

I don't know all the facts and such on the CourtHouse in Crawford County Ohio.
But it is a piece of work!

I also know the Court House in Wyandot County was in the Movie ShawShank Redemption!
A friend of mine was one of the Prosecuting Attornies in the opening scene!

Not much special in Eindhoven (city got bombed the hell out of it in WW2 and was quickly rebuilt without much care for aesthetics), except of course this thing which locals dubbed the "blob" (makes you wonder why)

Salt Lake City-County Building.

The library in my earlier pictures is right across the street behind the photographer.

Since many people posted the building where their governments work, here is a shot of where the US Executive Branch, Congress and Senate work from;

Fixed (not that it does me much good now). My only defense is that it was 01:33 my time when I posted that.

@ Herr-Berbunch: Where did you get that? I thought I had all the copies destroyed!

I have a thing for "vernacular" architecture. Since I live in NM, mostly adobe, rammed earth, etc.
