If you are using SH3 Commander, and you screw around with the time compression settings a certain way, it can cause sound problems.

Thanks guys - sorted it. It's now "activated" in JSGME.

Am I right in thinking though that the lifeboats won't appear until I start a new patrol from base?

Really helpful community here - thanks again folks!

As a general rule, mods should be enabled/disabled when you are already in base between patrols - if you do it while you are in the middle of a patrol you may have difficulty loading your saved games since they were created when the game's files were different than they are after adding/removing additional modifications.

From your question it sounds like you may have been in the middle of a patrol when you enabled the mod, so you may have some troubles - won't know until you try, I guess. Good luck!

If you do experience problems, delete the career and start a new one because it is not worth the hassle a corrupted save file in a career can cause.
