It's a freaking Game for Gosh sakes!

Don't make me give you all a time out!

I know it's just a game, and that's the reason why I got over it and I'm now looking forward.

I'm saying it without any animosity, let's be serious for a moment, what's their point ???

He accused me of trolling, but why does he (or they) STILL come to this forum ???

I hate to say it matey - but you are alowing yourself to be baited and thus fanning their flames.

Do like I do - add to the ignore list, never be bothered by them again

Reading that blog I'm pretty convinced that the dev team is also sad about SH5 and the fail is because the low budget and interest of the f'ing publisher. That stupid AC was the star all the time and they pumped all their money and effort in that sh1t, leaving all other projects floating.

Wish I could smash their faces because what they did with SH5. If the budget got low, they could simply just delay the project instead of throwing it on the market only with the graphic part finished and asking a full price for it. As a quick example, Bioware delayed with at least 1 year they SWTOR project just to be sure that the final result will be a high quality one, instead of throwing on a market a product that will not completely fulfill the community demands. Not to mention that before the release, there will be serious beta testing and the community feedback will be taken seriously.

We got such a bad luck that SH series is published by such a fail company as Ubi

What a shame UbiSoft were not as enlightened as these guys. If they had taken this thinking on board I think we ALL would have been a lot happier.

Let's hope the developers of the next sub sim, if there ever is one, think along these lines.

ahh, how much money are we talking about - if we (the gamers and fans) could fund the development of a game? 100-150k dollars per programmer/designer*10-20*2 years? Plus extras: about 5 millions. Lets say 7,5 to be on the safe side
Thats a meager 250 dollars per head, if we can gather 30000 fans.
(enough dreaming now, lets eat and do research...)

Bruce at www.bruceongames.com (almost inactive now) predicted that, in the future, most developers will be part of big organizations. The pioneering era of small firm developers are over???????????

...I almost forgot about it, thanks.

I'm gonna settle this once for all if he ever reply, then I'll probably follow your suggestion.

Don't pop into a thread just to call somebody crazy Meo, that's exactly what you did and it's called trolling.

Really, I can't feel their sadness...rather their cheering and drinking champagne. Letting players all over the world enjoy the game...

Remember that Dan from Ubisoft Romania stated that the latter and Ubisoft are the same, and not separable. Hence, the result of their strategy is their responsibility as a whole. This also implies that the team in Romania took part the Ubisoft development decisions that lead to SHV. And those that determine how it is being supported and finished now. Seems like it didn't matter enough to delay the product in this case, to Ubisoft as a whole. So there probably was no "sad and sorry".

After all, this is a business and no favor for a fan community. Business decisions determined what you got, but not wishful thinking. And many predicted this end well before it came. Unfortunately I have to add that. But after SHIV, and the many failures of Ubisoft such as to distill out from mega-mods of SHIII what players truly desired, or their lack of communication, this end seems not surprising in retrospect, and wasn't unpredictable either.

But any promising new start usually occurs out of the ashes of a previous disaster. I for my part am just curious now who else will pick up this genre, since this is definitely their turn now.

Yeah I agree with you 100%. There was an old thread about this before... My personal feeling is that we will see another U-boat sim (don't ask me when though ). There's no way Ubisoft is the end-all be-all of subsims.

Actually this is trolling

This indicates a total sales fiasco for Ubi's always online production.

If SH5 was subject to Nielsen ratings It would already be in the trash can of history. Too bad, as the graphics seem gorgeous.
Or to illustrate some more of Brag's trolling I give you this post by Kylania, just click the links for examples of Brag's vitriol for SH5 owners

We get that you hate this game and hate Ubisoft. You don't have to keep proving it. Go back to your SH3 forums and talk about us there without constantly spamming this forum with your hate please. It's been three months now, stop it.
And it goes on and on....

Yes Meo's post in this thread was wrong - but there's a huge history of Brag's trolling in this forum and I rather think it was because of this that Meo posted the way he did

Out of respect for the OP, I'm not going to continue this and derail his thread. But I'll quickly add that I don't consider Brag's topic trolling. He was stating that the SH5 forum is inactive, and he's right. This place is dead. Speaking of which I think the most active thread going on is the Zombie one.

Tbh, I'm so sick with these sh3 fanbois who day by day come over to bash sh5, it makes me to HATE sh3 more than I hate Ubi It's impossible to talk about SH5 and his future without the topic being hijacked by sh3 lovers.

ok, this thread started with a superb topic, a link to some wonderful words of wisdom regarding DRM and the future of games. Now, its all negative and off topic.

Please people, behave!
