Insert and Delete (next to your Home and End keys on a regular keyboard), raise and lower the Observation Scope.

F3 for Attack Scope view and O key for Observation Scope view.

May I add the club of those who forget that the "E" key in TMO and RFB have completely different uses. Suddenly blowing ballast 800 yards to the port of an escorted convoy is bad... Really REALLY bad.

I've done that a couple of times in SH3. I've remapped the key to "CTRL+E".

Hey it's not that bad, it's a sim after all. Just imagine if you had been the real captain of a sub, and had done that infront of your crew, even threatening to court martial someone for the scope not working
