I like this opening:

My favorite live band. Too bad the top guy smoked.

For me it goes to Charlton Heston in The Omega Man.

Predator

I can't find the opening scene to post, but if you remember the film, it goes something like this:
Alien pod enters earths atmosphere and we infer that it lands somewhere below. Cut to scene of the choppers flying over the coast towards the jungle and coming in to land in the makeshift military camp, somewhere in south america. The chopper lands and the commandos disembark, followed last by 'Dutch Schaeffer' who pauses to light a big fat cigar, before climbing aboard a jeep which then drives through the surf to the command post, where our hero and his stalwart band begin their mission...

Here's the opening music anyway:

Not the original soundtrack as it's discontinued.
Original score composed by Alan Silvestri.

Quote:
Dutch: So you cooked up a story and dropped the six of us in a meat grinder...What happened to you, Dillon? You used to be someone I could trust.
Dillon: I woke up. Why don't you? You're an asset. An expendable asset. And I used you to get the job done, got it?
awesome dialogue

ALIEN had a Marie Celeste feel of a ghost ship before we come across the crew in hyper sleep.
