Thanks.
You know soething...I can't honestly say if it was included in stock or not.

IT IS DEFINITELY IN GWX3.0

If your playing stock, open up the mission editor and interrogate the Campaign_Scr.....run the timeline up to the ones I have and see if it appears.

OK the Bismarck is indeed in the stock SH4. Well I have the Harbour Traffic Mod enabled if that makes any difference?

Here is the screen shot I just took.

In my next game I will try to be there when she shows up . Or I might even try to intercept the King Geroge and Rodney and take care of them before they can sink the Bismarck .

i was following the hood when at 0310 it disappeared. I reloaded and did it again, then from an earlier save, and another earlier one. every time, at 0310 on the 24th, the hood and wales disappear. no wonder i couldnt find them at their historical point, they werent in the game!
so this means one can not watch them fight it out...

Hrm... sounds like a "Delete On Last Waypoint" was checked in the editor.

Looks like the mission editor from SH3 to me

No....look carefully at my date and time because just before that (a day or two before IIRC) she separates from Prinz Eugen (IIRC) a few hundred miles further west and at this point IS scripted to 'delete on last waypoint.

SHE WILL SHOW UP AGAIN PRECISELY WHEN AND WHERE I POSTED THE SCREENSHOTS EARLIER.

Courtesy of this thread, I'm getting the itch to miraculously be in the area of say Ark Royal or King George V/Rodney at the historically appropriate dates, so let me ask: How well represented is Operation Rhine in the stock campaign?

Alas, I did not get to participate in t6ge Battle of the Denmark Strait, though I did get to take part in what was supposed to be the Bismarck's sinking under the guns of HMS Rodney and HMS King George V while also sailing forth with the Bismarck using the WarShip Mod.

One horrendous thing that kept occurring is that my guns crews kept firing on the other Bismarck! So after each British ship was sunk, I had to hold fire to ensure where my main guns were pointing, to see if they were tracking to the correct ships.

So, with Bismarck's tormentors sunk, to include the carrier group which had done the rudder damage in the first place, Bismarck was saved, though she was still circling round and round when I left her for the night.

Oh, the grid for the final fight is BE53 on the morning of 27 May 1941.

A little late to the party but I fancy taking part in this historic event. However, the screenshots that this comment refers to are no longer available. Could anyone please give the map co-ordinates (date and time) for the sinking of the Hood and for the second battle that resulted in the sinking of Bismark.

I am hoping to be able to watch from the surface using "Improved AA Plus" download to protect the U-Boot from any annoying aircraft.
