Maybe a photo thing like you did ages ago.. where you had close up pics of old sub games and we had to pick which game they were from? They'd have to be hard pics tho..

Of course you if you sent one to me then you'd have one less to get rid of!

The game was hide and seek, played over a million square miles of ocean. The losers died.

I could win that one. I was a TV Director for 20 years. I'm not interested in having the game though.

Personally I'd be looking at those who have supported SS over the years, whether financialy and or by other means and give due recognition.

Of course I exclude myself from the above.

Neal:

Giving away SH5 indicates you have friends to lose, right?

ANYWAY, how about a, "Most Humorous Subsim Anecdote" contest? Comical comment could be summed up in a thread that was open ONLY to people who don't have, but, "WANT" SH5, which, of course, is a whole different kettle of fish - pun intended. Entries could be voted on by existing Forum participants. Trust me: no one who currently has SH5 is going to lie and say they don't so's they can score another copy!

By the way, I'd be willing to donate my, "Experienced" copy of SH5 to the event...

Members make a "I want a Subsim SH5 game because..." sign.
Have them stand at any one of the numerous webcam locations throughout the world for a "publicized in advance" 30 minute period.

Subsim members can log on, view the "show" and vote on the person they (the members) think has the best reason.

Pro: How low will Subsim members go for a game? Advertising for Subsim. Members choice of best performance.

Con: Camera subject availability.

Why not give a copy away for the one who makes a proper fully working crack to play SH5 without DRM?

How about... because Subsim does not support piracy?

I liked the werewolf idea.

"I have to figure out a way to give this game away".

Yeah, I feel like one of those NGOs in Somalia, trying to give away essential food (not the tastiest but certainly nourishing) and the natives won't accept it and are trying to kill me.

What promotion of piracy? A crack for this would increase sales, as many people have problems with internet connection and seem not to care the game is half finished. I know I'd buy it if were so, even with all the problems if if had no DRM

Anyway it was a joke, didn't realise the killjoy police prowls the area.

Why not simply make it random. Make a lost of subsim members (who posted in the last 90 days or so) and asign all of them a number. Find a random number generator on the web and decide that way. PM the winner.

Or any variation on the above
