Thats like saying, Toyota or GM would save money by only selling you the frame of the car. All the rest its up to you to put it in (engine, wheels, interior etc...). What kind of half ass logic is that ?

DRM will be delt with in time, but for now, lets all just focus on the game itself, lets all do what we did to SH3 and mod it out to high hell with all these options and realism mods that helped make it so damn addicting!
plweeaase!!! Modders, Come back! your 'Magick' is need now!
We need the patches first then all hands on deck . The devs know better than anyone that what we will get after all the patches and modding and super mods are done is the best submarine game bar none .

That is a very good angle. Apart from Spring Time for Hitler, I only really remember two other "make fun of teh Hitler" attempts that WAS funny.

One was "Mr. Hilter" as a pensionate tenant in Greater London - playing tourist and staring John Cleese as "Mr. Hilter".

The other is Inglourious Basterds.

So, is Silent Hunter V the Inglourious Basterds slash Mr. Hilter slash The Producers of simulation games?

Well that's certainly a good analogy, was going suggest something by Troma productions, but SH5 doesn't deserve to spoken of in the same breath as "Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead"!

Our reliance on, "Ubi's Unpaid Development Crew," a.k.a., "Modders" has gotten us where we are today! Ubi figures we're willing to part with our hard-earned money to buy underdeveloped trash knowing full well we'll expect the Modders to make it what it should have been in the first place! First we had the buggy SH3, followed by the even-MORE-buggy SH4. NOW, we get the honor of paying for this beta/incomplete release complete with, "developmentally-challenged AI!" Sensing a trend?

"Modders'll fix it!" Maybe, maybe not. In any case, until Ubi puts these guys on the payroll...

and, no, I don't love it like I love a "good" B-movie! I KNOW what to expect out of B-movie! I wasn't prepared for this level of half-as*ed development effort out of a series I've been following and supporting with my dollars for 10 years...

I LOVE Silent Hunter 5 , I will keep in my hard disk for a while SH3 because GWX added to SH3 very very good and realistic features that I hope sooner or later can be added to SH5 , can you imagine the result of Silent Hunter 5 plus GWX
