FYI I got over trying to maintain two copies of the same thing, so I've deleted the forum version of the User Guide and linked, in post 1, the online version.

Comments/questions/feedback/criticisms/compliments etc relating to the User Guide are most welcome. Post here or PM. After all, this is for you guys; I know how to use JSGME.

JSGME v2.4 will link direct to this file when the "Help" option is selected.

I am a old fart that is having trouble using JSGME with SH5. During the SH5 install it placed files in 2 directories. One is C:/Ubisoft/etc the other is C:/ProgramFiles/Ubisoft/GameLauncher/etc. Now I placed JSGME in C:/ubisoft/SH5 with a Mods folder. When I activate the mods in the mod folder gameplay does not change. I also tried putting JSGME in C:/Ubisoft/SH5/data. Still the mods dont work. Not sure what the problem is. Any suggestions or should I just take a gun and shoot my computer because I am an idiot

tibec, the "official" JSGME user guide is linked in the first post in this thread. I highly recommend you read it first to gain a better understanding of JSGME.

Then you can read game-specific instructions.

Default jsgme.exe still problems..........

Still problems with the mods. I looked in every document which contains jsgme.exe. This is my map structure. C:\ubisoft\silent hunter 5\mods\name of mod\data
As mentioned in: http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/sof...on/JSGMEUG.pdf
I installed jsgme.exe in the c:\ubisoft\silent hunter 5\..... map.
I see the mods in jsgme.exe at the left side and enabled them all. And start a new game, but I see no difference.............. System windows 7 64 bit. JSGME.exe starts as administrator.

hmmm, i don't get the pictures in this post......

please help.

Given that it seems you've done everything right, you might have to post (correctly) some screenshots of what you have.

The path should read c:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5

I have also posted a guide if this helps

I did that. What I see is:
c:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\mods\"modname"\data\ and so on.

I can import the mod in JSGME.exe

See screenshots above!

You have messed up with darkwraiths mod. You have to choose one of the tdc options, not all of them.

The jsgme user guide includes information on topics such as:

Installation
adding mods
enabling mods
disabling mods
how jsgme works
navigating the interface
tasks
languages
notes for modders
notes for developers

this will be the user guide's permanent online home, so linking to it elsewhere (ie on other forums) will be fine.

Jsgme v2.4 will link direct to this file when the "help" option is selected.
Вот как раз то что надо!

ok delete al darkwraiths mods. The rest is still there. The only mod which is working is the Digital Ui Clock 1.1. Why not the rest?

I just saw that there is a new version of this out, great job btw!!! Before I possibly mess up my SH4 version, do I need to uninstall all enabled mods before I upgrade or is it possible to install this over my current 2.3.1.123 install? I didn't see anything in the documentation stating either way. Thanks!
