UbisoftGameLauncher.exe crash

On a hunch I tried running it on safemode, strangely enough it works that way. It managed to launch the ubigamelauncher, and I saw the intro, but of course the game won't load further because of missing stuff in safemode.

So, that means something is preventing it from running properly. It can't be the firewall, disabling that didn't work. Even on the third pc it won't work, so that's 3 pc's all with Windows XP where it won't run on.

Please believe me that I am not promoting illegal action in any form. I wanted to point out that very game isn't a problem in mentioned case, only protecting system. If it stayed understood differently, I apologise to it.

Yes, that is what I was trying to tell him, but apparently he assumed I was referring to illegal copies only.

Understood, thanks for taking the extra step to confirm your legality (screenshot of the games in front of the montior). This forum discourages the mention of using cracks because for every person who does as you did, there are many who will not be honest about it. And it only takes a few sparks to start a fire.

You should post this issue on the Ubisoft forum here http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1121062387/m/5931068638 .

It sounds like you might be using Win Vista or 7 if it didn't make a shortcut. It doesn't do this for those operating systems. You can launch the game from the games directory, by going to Start>Games and then launch it from the shortcut there. If you want make a shortcut to place on your desktop, you can create one from the install directory to place on your desktop. Go to C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5 and copy the "sh5.exe" to your desktop, which should bring up the game launcher.
