Just played my first mission the starting mission. The game is actually pretty nice. But its going to take a lot to get use to this I tell yeah. Its odd.
And I can't get my observation scope to stay down. LOL. It also has that effect that I hated in SHV. You know the movie effect.. But I can't find a way to disable it. Didn't like it in SHIV and still don't like it in SHV. |

I haven't played it yet, so I can only imagine. I would say many things that could be directly controlled in SH3 and SH4 have now been relegated to officers instead, and that these things should be moddable to make it play more like the previous titles. When I get my hands on the editor, I will post again.

There ARE a bunch of ommissions in the interface. Most of them I found to be minor so far, but you're right, the decision to change the interface irks me a little. I can't help but think "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" - six dials and a set of officer report buttons were a very good system imho and I miss them sorely now.
On the other hand it doesn't turn me off from the rest of the game, and I hope many of these features are soon restored - they really are needed. |
