Have you sailed close to them yet to hear them shouting for help? Always quite satisfying....
LOL, it would be fun to have them curse at you.

Should V4 be installed when in harbour or can it be enabled anytime during a patrol? Also, I noticed that there is a folder called "GWX-buoyancy and draught" in the Optional folder, any idea what this does?

There should be a readme in the zip file that explains everything

The range to a ship relies upon the height of the ship's mast above the waterline; this mod is ment to correct errors in the mast height.

I see, has this issue been fixed with GWX 3.0? I assumed this mod was meant for GWX 2.x.

I don't use the optional mod, and I've had no problems, except for the sea rising through the bottom of the rafts, which, let's be honest, is less of a problem than the sea coming right over your head when your on the bridge, but you can still see the watch crew glued to there binocs.

Apparently, there are still some problems with 3.0 in this regard, altholugh I may be wrong about this.
I don't think this was fixed in GWX3.0.
In any event, the error is very small and probably of no significance, except for very long shots.
If you attack under 1,000 meters, the error of range is so small as to make little or no difference, and I have not had a problem at 100% realism with unexplained misses.
